There is no denying the fact that we all know how important and valuable nature is for us. It's an indispensable aspect of survival not only for us humans but also for all the other species we share this planet with. Knowing the great importance of the environment we need, humans still have the audacity to contaminate the world! We spare no means to be as cruel as possible to our own Mother Nature!! Despite witnessing the retaliation from matter, clearly indicating to us that things are not looking good, we continue with our old ways without an iota of guilt. As long as we continue with our old ways, we will continue harming our own breathing space, which will lead to further deterioration of our Earth.
It is indeed a wonder how our Nature has forgiven us innumerable times, and only when it got irreversible that she reacted. Floods, famines, volcanoes, earthquakes, landslides, cavings, tornadoes, tsunamis.....What more are we waiting for?! The message is out there, loud & clear...The buying of oxygen during the recent pandemic was just a trailer of the times to come. We need to pull our socks up and be much kinder towards the world around us. If not now, then never, ever, will it be possible to save our dearest Mother Earth...Our life is in our own hands.
Planting more trees, curtailing our greed for profits, curtailing the cutting of trees in the name of civilization, stricter laws against polluting the environment, educating people regarding the benefits of environmental preservation are some of the measures that society can take to preserve whatever is left of our dear Earth. Let us all take a pledge to do whatever we can to save our environment and enjoy a healthy relationship with Mother Nature. Do not forget the age-old idiom "What we sow, so we reap." In this scenario, it holds both literary as well as practical meaning. Let us all wake up to the call of time and if not "do" something about it, at least "don't" do what is apparently damaging.
The buying of oxygen during the recent pandemic was just a trailer of the times to come
This is so true and yet we just bury our heads in the sand and hope that someone else will tackle the problem. We need to remember that every little bit helps, so as not to become overwhelmed at the immensity of the problem.
