A rightful Queen

It was a regular working day for everyone in the city of Jabalpur, and people were hustling and bustling in the streets. Motor vehicles of all sorts were hurrying to their various destinations. Kriti was also rushing to go and collect her daughter from the school and drop her off at home where her husband was there. Not that he would be able to take care of her, but at least the little girl, all of 5 years old, won't be alone until Kriti is back from the office in the evening.

This was the daily routine being followed since Kriti's daughter Arya was 2 years of age. Prior to that, Rohan, Kriti's husband, would help her out, but after the serious accident that crippled him from the waist down, leaving him totally incapacitated, all the duties fell upon Kriti's already burdened shoulders. She became the sole bread winner for her home and, adding to this, being the eldest in her paternal home, where she had her ailing parents and a university-going sister, Kriti was financially helping them as well. She used to take her parents for regular medical checkups and treatments as they were both suffering from acute diabetes. In the midst of taking care of Rohan, Arya, and her parents, she had forgotten about her own existence. But being a duty-bound individual, Kriti never complained and always had a sweet smile on her face.

This life of hers was totally unknown at her workplace, where they would see their manager, drive back & forth in the afternoon. The whole attitude of Kriti was no less than that of a queen in power, with everyone around her seeking her advice and guidance at all times. All that Kriti desired was happiness for everyone around her. A perfect example of positive power at its best!! It is not what life throws at us that determines our true inner spirit but how we deal with what life offers us, that sets the courageous ones apart from the regular crowd.
