The Rusk theory !

Ever wondered what the difference between tea & chai is?
Well, 'tea' is like inviting someone to your house whilst 'chai' is welcoming someone to your home. A minute subtle variance in the underlying essence of the words but a whole new dimension at the feeling level.
My blog today is not about the above though. It is in fact something related to the whole experience of having a brewing drink.
So, the other day, just like any other day, I went to the kitchen to brew my ginger lemongrass chai. These days I enjoy one or two rusks along with my morning cuppa of chai. The usual container of rusks needed to be refilled, so I went to the pantry to open up the rusk packet to replenish the kitchen container, when I found that my shaking, pulling & other minor measures to take few rusks out of the tightly packed row was going in vain. Since having chai wasn't the only task of the day for me, I tried pulling the rusks out aggressively to get few of them out to stack up the rusk container and also to have them right away. But it didn't seem like I was winning this simple task!!
After some hustle & bustle, when I saw two rusks higher up than the rest of its pack, I pushed down, the adjacent rusk from either side, which then made the protuding rusks that I was aiming at , to be set free and from then on it was so much easier to get the freed rusks to be taken out! Then, I filled in the container and took out two to savour with my chai.
Now, while dipping the rusk in the chai and enjoying my cold morning with it, suddenly a thought came to me, which led me to "The Rusk Theory". In this theory although the doer is this writer i.e. myself but for a greater impact, we will assume the rusks to be an animated version of us humans.
Now let's diagnose this theory:
In today's competitive world, the taken-for-granted way to be one up than others, is to push the closest competitors down and that then makes one feel that they are higher up than their rivals, just like the two rusks who were trying to rise higher up did when they pressed the adjacent rusks down.
Secondly, the ones who got pushed down were those who were the closest!
Thirdly, once the two rusks left, the impact on the remaining was directly proportional to the proximity it held with the departed rusks. The closer the remaining rusks were from the ones that left, the greater the effect was on them. The 1-2 rusks on either side of the gone rusks that pulled themselves out, were fully flat, while the ones further away were just tilted and the last ones were standing tall as if nothing had happened in that row!
Now, lets apply the rusk theory in our human lives and learn some valuable lessons from it:
It is not necessary to push others down to rise up in life. Had I shown bit more patience, I could have taken the two rusks out of the packed row without pushing the other rusks down. In life, with perseverance , patience & passion, one can achieve one's goals without letting anyone experience any sorrow along the way.
In doing so, the ones closest to us will also get an opportunity to rise up by getting inspired with our efforts and the subsequent success.
When any'one' or any'thing' or any'situation' which we considered to be part of us, happens to leave us, we should not get so impacted that our life comes to a complete fall or stand-still. We should hold the strength to stand tall and continue. This is only possible if we remain detached. The more the attachment, the steeper the fall, the deeper the hurt!
No matter what happens to us, the ones who are not so much in touch with us would have absolutely no difference in their existence whether we are there or not. But that is only because the impact of us not being there is not felt by them and not because they are being cold to us.
If everyone in a family/community/society are bonded together with love or are close-knit, it is not easy to break their unity and the only way the closeness gets shattered is when there is disharmony amongst the members themselves rather than an outside force.
No matter who leaves from a tight pack/group, inadvertently the result is that some changes do occur in the demographics of the rest.
Although not as scientific as the Big bang theory or Einstein's theory of relativity, the rusk theory can be applied by all of us in our daily lives.
What do you think about this homemade theory, "The rusk theory" ??

In life, with perseverance , patience & passion, one can achieve one's goals without letting anyone experience any sorrow along the way....Wonderful lesson and realisation for me.. Thank you so much...
Always amazed by your thoughts! This is awesome and so insightful.
Never thought a packet of rusk had the potential to ignite such philosophical thoughts :)
